Upcoming Workshop

Levania

Levania is a 9½-hour dream-like workshop organized by Altalena. The workshop is structured as a temporal and operational protocol, a sequence of phases that guide participants through an experience of gradual detachment from their habitual ways of perceiving. At the heart of the practice lies the exploration of polyphasic sleep as a means of transition. By alternating sleep and wakefulness in closely spaced cycles, an intermediate space can be opened where the two states intermingle and give rise to a hybrid condition: a vigilant consciousness within the fabric of the dream. The nocturnal journey is accompanied by exercises and suggestions that function as tools for orientation, supporting the body, modulating attention, and guiding the transition between states of perception.

Levania is the place toward which we are drawn this night. It is a space that takes shape through the bodies and images we produce. Within it, we construct a shared and ever-changing dream body. Levania exists in the projection of our landscapes. It is a collective and personal place, generated by the intersection of the perceptions, memories, and visions of those who pass through it.

The first Levania will be held in Italian and will take place during the Spellbound Festival, organized by Almare at PAV – Parco Arte Vivente in Turin, on the night of June 27–28, 2026.
The workshop is free, but a Spellbound ticket is required to participate. Please note that space is limited.
